The pretty coastal village of Mawbray is the perfect base to explore the unspoilt Cumbrian coastline. Some of the finest sand dunes in the area are found at Mawbray Banks just half a mile from the house, and the Lake District National Park is just 12 miles away. Keen golfers will find some good courses within 5 miles at Silloth which is a traditional seaside town. Maryport, with its harbour, is 12 miles away, where you will find an Aquarium and an indoor go carting and click n climb centre. There is also a superb indoor caving system at the Wave Centre.
