The 3 bedroom self catering accommodation is peacefully situated in a large, shared, wild garden, just a short stroll from the centre of Mortehoe with pubs, takeaways, village store and post office and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. Ideally suited to walkers or families, it is a few minutes walk from the South West Coast path with many other lovely walks on the doorstep. A 5 min drive brings you to the popular village of Woolacombe with its award winning beach and surf and the other popular beaches of Putsborough, Croyde and Saunton just a short drive away. Rockham Bay is a short walk along the coast path or you can walk a bit further to Lee Bay and come back through the fields. The Cabin is a comfortable holiday home with a large open plan living space with woodburner, xbox, netflix and well equipped kitchen/dining area. There are 3 bedrooms, 1 with superking pine bed, the second with zip and lock beds giving the option of a twin room or superking divan and the third a smaller room with bunk beds. French doors to the side open onto a decked area with large picnic table and barbeque. The family bathroom has bath and separate shower and the porch has ample room for coats, boots and bags. The accommodation is not suitable for anyone with reduced mobility due to the long gravel path and steps. Children are welcome but must be supervised at all times in the shared garden.

Located on Norton Park, a rural 22 acre site, it has great views from most directions, some looking towards the River Dart, others across rolling countryside. The site has lawns around the chalets with space for outdoor picnics and barbecues and is perfect for children to play safely away from any traffic. Close by is a large Sainsbury's, with a petrol station and cash point, and there is also a Lidl. A bus runs from the entrance to Norton Park to Dartmouth every two hours. A Park & Ride facility to avoid congestion in Dartmouth operates throughout the summer months and is located next to the town's Leisure Centre and swimming baths just down the road from Norton Park.

The lodge has two private decked terraces, one accessed via double doors from the sitting room with table and seating for 6 and a BBQ (gas), and the second is accessed from the downstairs bedrooms.

The lodges are surrounded by woodland and small manicured lawns before opening onto the extensive communal estate grounds, which feature many walking paths, lakes and beautiful corners to sit and soak up the tranquil surrounds.

There is parking available for two vehicles in the lodges car park.

Electric Vehicles: There are EV charging facilities located at the front of the Hotel with charges for a full charge and top up charge, subject to charger availability.

  • Internet and Telephone: Wi-Fi available free of charge. There is a landline telephone available for incoming and outgoing calls with charges set the same as the hotel telephone rates (more information available at check-in).   • Shop: There are two on-site shops available. The tent is a very short distance from the separate covered shared kitchen block and shower/toilet block. Please note towels are not provided.

The outside (covered) kitchen includes gas BBQ, gas hob, sink with running cold water, fridge space & cooking utensils.

The shower/toilet block includes, running hot and cold water basin, flushing toilet, shower cubicle (hot water!) and baby changing facilities.

Both areas are shared with other campers, which may also be staying at Crooked Oaks.
