The lodge boasts all the mod cons and is a home away from home property. With an open plan layout, the kitchen/dining area overlooks the sitting area. The kitchen is fully equipped and comes with a washing machine, dishwasher, coffee machine and plenty of cooking utensils.

The bathroom consists of a shower, WC and basin and heated towel rail. The en-suite is located in the master bedroom which consists of a king size bed, dressing table, and walk in wardrobe. All bedrooms are equipped with flat screen TV's. The twin room has plenty of storage and two full size single beds.

The lodge boasts SKY TV (movies and sports), games, fresh linen and a welcome hamper.

The exterior of the lodge has a large wrap around terrace and the deluxe hot tub is located at the rear of the property providing privacy. There is external subtle lighting that lights up the trees when dark, providing a great backdrop when in the hot tub. We have placed a canopy over the hot tub, so it doesn't matter if it rains, you can relax and enjoy in all seasons.

Stag Lodge is dog friendly, we accept up to two dogs at no extra cost. The lodge also is opposite our sister Lodge (Woodys Lodge) making it ideal for those that require two properties side by side. Both properties can accommodate up to 10 guests.

We operate seasonal prices and run throughout the year, we offer the below rental holiday breaks.

We can accommodate shorter weekend breaks of a minimum of two nights. The price will be pro rata of the weekend rate. From time to time depending on season we can be flexible. We check our rates against the quote of the booking to ensure accuracy, but please note due to the inflexibility of adding weekend rates, mid week and weekly on this system there may be some slight changes.

The cabin can sleep up to four guests. Two guests on a king-sized bed on the ground floor and two in the double loft bed. The loft bed is accessed with a ladder as seen in the photos and is suitable for children or agile adults. The cabin has a small kitchen equipped with the essentials including an air fryer, a gorgeous outdoor dining and seating area and a beautiful bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower. The cabin was designed with sustainability in mind, boasting features such as an eco shower, for the water conscious among us. The cabin is kept cozy and warm as it’s extremely well insulated. A unique and beautiful mural and bouldering wall has been fitted on the back of the cabin.

There is also a hot tub for you to get the full relaxation experience in! The hot tub is shared with our other guests at the steading. You are welcome to use it at any time after 10 am till 9pm to soak and enjoy the scenery. We just ask all our guests to be respectful of each other. The cabin encompasses comfort, functionality and luxury in a magnificent compact and sustainable design, You'll love it!

The forest view cabin is located on a small steading nestled in the heart of the Cairngorms, and on the edge of beautiful Ballater. As you enter you will see an old stone building, a tiny house and a lovely wildflower garden. The garden which will be in full bloom by spring has been planted with native wildflowers and will provide a habitat for local wildlife.

At the steading, we are trying to build unique, low-impact sustainable holiday accommodations, with high-quality design and materials for our guests. The cabin and tiny house are newly built and 100% finished. However, you may notice other projects on the property which are not completed to the same level and our staff members, though, this should not impact or disturb you during your stay.

The cabin is perfectly situated to access all that the Cairngorms and Royal Deeside have to offer. Walking trails, hiking, golf, mountain biking, skiing and other outdoor activities are all on your doorstep.

The accommodation is located a mile and a half to Ballater. You can either drive or walk along the much loved 7 bridges walk to get to the village. Here you can find a selection of café’s, restaurants and pubs, or possibly a bit of local independent shopping. If you want to visit the Royal family, Balmoral Estates is a stone’s throw away. Balmoral and Royal Lochnagar Whiskey distillery are only 6 miles away. Also close by is the Historic Town of Braemar.
