Inside you will find a pouch for your property use this to identify the colour of the key safe The combination for the safe will be the last 4 digits of your booking reference [#??-??] Please take key, card and pouch with you. Please close up key safe and change combination to lock and close the box. Be aware there maybe more than just your pouch so please take the correct one. Please ensure Security Deposit has been paid beforehand otherwise we cannot leave a key.

Set in a stunning location within 22 acres of north Devon countryside and lying near to an iron age hillfort and a lake, this is a place to escape it all! Woodpecker Lodge is a 4 bedroom self-catering log cabin that comfortably sleeps up to 8 adults and has it's very own private hot tub. The location is great for a holiday in north Devon and there is plenty to do, while also being a perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature.

In low season short notice bookings, 2 night bookings may be available (rather than 3 night minimum) and discounts may be available if booking for 3 nights or more. Please message to enquire!

The bedrooms are all good sizes. The 2 upstairs bedrooms both have king size beds, en-suite bathrooms (bath only), and one bedroom has a private balcony area. There are 2 downstairs bedrooms, one with a double bed and en-suite shower room and one with twin beds. There is one family shower room downstairs with a lovely large shower.

The kitchen is fully stocked with all that you'd expect including a kettle, toaster, microwave, oven, dishwasher and washing machine. The living room is comfortable and cosy ... especially when the log burner is lit!

Woodpecker Lodge has it's own private hot tub for guests to relax and enjoy throughout their holiday. It is important the guests read and adhere to the guidance on how to operate and safely use the hot tub in order to keep it clean, be safe and make the most of it, which we email to guests prior to their stay.

There is parking for up to 4 cars and an enclosed garden although you are welcome to explore the 22 acres of countryside at your leisure, which includes woodlands, a lake and an iron age hillfort. On a clear day you can see sea views to Hartland Point, and on a clear night the stars are breath-taking!

We are very dog friendly and doggies are welcome to stay. Please note that dogs must be kept off all furniture, muddy paws must be cleaned before entering the cabin, and all dog poo must be picked up from the garden and paths. There is an additional charge for more than 2 dogs.

Woodpecker Lodge is in a rural location, about a 5 minute drive from the village of Bratton Fleming where there is a small village shop and a fish and chip van on a Friday night. We are a 20 minute drive from supermarkets. There are a number of great pubs/restaurants (many of them dog friendly) that we can recommend which are all within a 10 - 30 minute drive away.

There is plenty to see and do in north Devon during your visit. Why not try your hand at surfing at the nearby beaches such as Croyde, Saunton Sands and Woolacombe, or hire a bicycle and ride the famous Tarka Trail, or go hiking in Exmoor, or walk the spectacular South West Coast Path? Other attractions to visit include Arlington Court and Castle Hill Gardens that are also very close if you like to explore National Trust properties, or for something different you could visit Quince Honey Farm in nearby South Molton. There’s plenty for kids too, such as the Exmoor Zoological Park, Milky Way Adventure Park and Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park.

Woodpecker Lodge is unfortunately not disability or wheelchair friendly.
