Throughout the property large windows have been carefully placed to seize the views, with the glistening surface of the lake and luscious surrounding habitats capturing your eye at frequent moments. 
The main entertaining area of Misty House can be found on the ground floor. It is bright and airy yet has a homely feel particularly with the wood burner fired up in the corner. Sofas have been arranged around the fireplace, enclosed by floor-to-ceiling windows and folding doors on either side, opening the room to the views. All open plan, only a large dining table separates the living area from the kitchen, creating a social atmosphere for everyone to enjoy together. The kitchen is well equipped with a fantastic breakfast bar, so you can all cook together chatting and laughing the evening away. Of course, there is a constant tie to the outdoors, and our favorite spot for breakfast must be on the outdoor deck, watching wildlife on the lakeside banks. 
Upstairs, the house offers three bedrooms, including two twin rooms and a master bedroom. The master boasts a double bed and en-suite bathroom, whilst the two twin rooms share a modern family bathroom. 
Located between Dorchester and Lulworth Cove, the house is positioned perfectly to explore Dorset’s Jurassic Coast, with beautiful beaches, charming seaside towns and picturesque countryside. If you’re looking to take in the area’s fascinating history then you won’t be disappointed with the thousand-year-old Corfe Castle, a majestic ruin established by William the Conqueror, just a short drive away.   Fans of Thomas Hardy can visit Dorchester’s Dorset Museum which houses the largest Hardy Collection in the world, bequeathed by his wife Florence.  Just thirty minutes away, is the picturesque town of Poole, here you can hop on a ferry and visit neighbouring islands or soak up the sunrays on the near-by golden beaches at Sandbanks and Bournemouth.  A visit to the colourful Lighthouse Arts Centre offers art exhibitions, theatre and film then why not finish off the day with some locally caught fish and chips on the beach.

Mulberry Leaf is a charming wooden cabin on the banks of Newton Creek, with beautiful views of the water and across to Noss Mayo. Sleeping two in a super-king size bed, this is a great place to escape and relax.

Self contained, the cabin sits at the top of the garden behind the owner's property, and has spectacular views of Newton Creek and across to the river. It is fully insulated with a veranda and is totally separate with a private entrance. Inside, there is a super-king size bed, and a small kitchenette with a microwave, kettle, toaster, and shelves well-stocked with crockery and glasses. The en-suite is home to a large shower, WC, and wash basin.

Outside the cabin is set in wonderfully maintained gardens with great views. The veranda leading from the cabin has a fridge, plus table and chairs, and is ideal for enjoying alfresco meals. Guests are welcome to use the entire top section of the garden, and they have the choice of several seating areas for relaxing.

Within walking distance to the village pub and stores as well as the shore, it's a great base for exploring. The area is perfect for keen paddle boarders, kayakers and anyone that enjoys being around water, or exploring the wonderful countryside in this beautiful part of Devon.
