The area's natural beauty can be seen at Rufford Country Park and Burntstump Country Park, while The Workhouse, Southwell and British Horological Institute are cultural highlights. Enjoy a relaxing break in the countryside with wonderful views and great walks. There's so much to see and do in the heart of Robin hood country.
Situated in a quiet and private corner pitch in the adults only area the caravan is furnished with everything you need for a self catering stay.
There is a double bed in a separated room, and in the front the settees can comfortably accommodate 1 adult The pitch does have room for a 2 man tent which we can rent to you with airbeds. Additional charges will apply for extra guests or visitors over 3 people. There is a parking space alongside the van for 1 car. Wifi is on site but can be very intermittent as we are in a very rural area. The TV offers Freeview and music channels. You are welcome to bring a barbecue and enjoy dining outside at the picnic table but open fires are not permitted. The caravan has a Gas cooker a fridge and microwave and all crockery and utensils. Bedding is provided but please pack your own towels. There is a washer and drier on site these are charged for when used. Though the caravan has a private bathroom we advise you to use the lovely on site shower faculty's as constantly filling your water barrel for showering can be rather onerous. The bathrooms on site have electric power points for your hair drier if required. The caravan has both gas and electric heating we will set it to heat on electric in advance of your visit. There is a tap near your van for fresh drinking water and a container is provided for you to fill.
We can also supply picnic hampers or packed lunches if required these need to be booked a day in advance at the site. Staff are always on site and happy to help you should you need any assistance.
The village of Bilsthorpe has a local shop a Tesco express, Garage, Post office and chemist and a brilliant country Inn with fantastic food. These are about a mile and a half from the site.
We do allow pets but as caravans are not huge obviously it's not suitable for more than one dog. If you wish to bring more than 1 pet this can be discussed at booking stage. An additional fee may be charged. All dogs are to be kept on leads at all times and must be sociable, We have created a file for you in the caravan of the post codes for all nearby amenities and places to go for day trips, a few of which are noted below.

Welcome to our beautiful narrowboat Kingfisher near the market town of Gainsborough. It is adjacent to a 2 acre woodland, alongside the scenic and green flag, awarded Chesterfield Canal, a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

We hope you enjoy your stay! We have personally thought through all of the amenities and hope to provide you with all the comforts of home. The surrounding area has a lot to offer and is sure to make your holiday one of a kind.

As a self-catering boat, you'll find everything you need for a perfect stay. Kingfisher is a couples retreat on the scenic Chesterfield Canal. It is fully equipped including a private hot tub, log burner with logs, fully equipped kitchen, ensuite shower and a garden area with a fire bowl BBQ and daybed. A sauna and indoor BBQ cabin in our adjacent woodland are included.

Fishing is available at Hawthorn Hideaway in the Chesterfield Canal from 16th June to the 14th March.

To really celebrate those special occasions, massages are available through our therapist, we also offer other extras such as celebration pack, BBQ and steak hampers and afternoon tea for 2 delivered to the boat. All with an extra charge.

There is one bedroom on this boat which contains a king-size bed.

Linen, towels and bathrobes are all included to make your stay more enjoyable.

A complimentary welcome breakfast includes the following: local sausages, bacon and eggs. tomatoes, mushrooms, corn flakes, bread, butter, milk, jam, coffee, decaff coffee, tea, hot chocolate, sparkling Belvoir elderflower presse, sugar and sweetener.

The space
The Angel Lodge is set within over 40 acres of private grassland and over looks a 14 acre well stocked fishing lake. Guest can enjoy unspoilt, panoramic views of countryside, water and farmland in a peaceful, private and tranquil setting. The sunrises over the lake and sets over our woodland for a truly breathtaking experience. French doors off the bedroom open out onto private decking with table and chairs to enjoy morning coffee over looking the lake and a separate area for outdoor dining. The back door to the Angel leads out to decking which enjoys views over our farm. A 5 minute walk along our farm track leads to Hawton Waters Woodland where guests can explore over 170 acres of private woodland and walks along the River Devon which runs through our farm.
On site guests are able to hire paddle boards, bicycles, fish or open swim the lake or simply spend hours of walking in quiet secluded countryside.
Although remote, lodge has good Wi-Fi and mobile phone signal.

Guest access
Guests have exclusive use of The Angel Lodge. Guests are welcome to open swim, fish the lake or walk, bike around it. There may be some other guests sharing these facilities but as the lake is 14 acres and set within 40+ acres it is never crowded and very quiet. Guest also have access and are permitted to walk the 170 acres of private woodland and riverside walks.

Other things to note
Entrance to lodge is through our working farm yard but once at the Angel Lodge guest will not be disturbed by any heavy machinery as lodge is set far enough away from our farm land and within our lake/grassland area.

Located in Newark, this lodge is in the city center and on the waterfront. Cotgrave Country Park and Kelham Hall & Country Park reflect the area's natural beauty and area attractions include GH Porter and ELK Motorsport. Norwell Nurseries and Gardens and Langar Go Karting and Quad Biking Centre Nottingham are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
