Sit on the balcony of our newly renovated 2 bedroom lodge, nestled in the trees looking down on beautiful Loch Lochy whilst having breakfast before heading out to walk or cycle the Great Glen Way*, which goes through the site. In 3 hours (on foot) you’ll either be in Fort Augustus, where Loch Ness begins, or Spean Bridge, depending on whether you went left or right. If you make it to Fort William (about 22 miles on the Great Glen Way or about 40 minutes by car), you could hop aboard the Hogwarts Express following in Harry Potter’s footsteps over the famous Glenfinnan viaduct and on to Mallaig and still be back in time to lie relaxing in the luxurious hot tub whilst listening to the soothing sounds of a stream tumbling over the rocks.

Our lodge here has 2 double beds and the site doesn’t allow dogs so if you need a twin room or have a four legged friend, please look at our other lodges just a 10 minute drive away at the sister site, number 4 or number 26 Invergarry Lodges, on Loch Oich.

nb. Guests are not permitted to invite others on site to stay overnight in any form of mobile home, camper van, caravan or tent and that the maximum occupancy of the Lodge cannot be exceeded overnight.

Although every effort will be made to ensure that the hot tub is ready to use on the day of arrival, it cannot be guaranteed.

Please be aware that the use of drones is not permitted on this site.

Too relaxed to cook? No problem. Take a 5 minute amble to the Eagle Barge, a floating pub which also does meals or drive 8 miles to Fort Augustus to The Bothy which sits next to the 3 staircase locks leading onto Loch Ness and enjoy a meal and a pint with the locals. For a special celebration book a table at Russell’s Restaurant at The Smiddy at Spean Bridge, 11miles away, for a fabulous meal in a romantic setting.

If you fancy hiring a boat pop to Le Boat, a few minutes walk at Laggan Lock or if water sports are your thing, take a 1.5 mile walk along the Great Glen Way or a 10 minute drive to ( Active Outdoor Pursuits ) situated at the sister site, Invergarry Lodges ( formerly Great Glen Water Park). Loch Ness runs from Fort Augustus (8 miles away) to Inverness which is about an hour’s drive and there are various attractions along the way. If you keep your eyes peeled you may even spot the illusive Nessie!

Invergarry & Fort Augustus Railway Museum and Clansman Centre are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Allt na Criche and Nevis Range Mountain Experience.
