'Beachbreak' is a traditional wooden beach chalet nestling in the sand dunes in the towans at Gwithian Sands. It is in the ideal location for a relaxing holiday or a great base from which to surf or visit Cornwall's many attractions.

The chalet is on a small family-run site with fantastic sand dunes right outside the door. A safe haven for children to play and grown ups to unwind.

A fifteen minute stroll through the dunes brings you to 3 miles of golden sand and fantastic surf, which forms part of St Ives Bay and features Godrevy Lighthouse, made famous by Virginia Woolf's novel.
The calm bright interior has an open plan living space with wooden floors and a retro feel. The fully equipped kitchen includes a ceramic cooker, large retro fridge, microwave, toaster and separate freezer. Included are essentials like tea towels, oven gloves, etc as well as a welcome pack. There is a family dining table to enjoy your meals and a highchair can be provided on request.
The lounge has 2 comfortable sofas, a flat screen tv with dvd player and a DAB radio with ipod docking station. Free WiFi
There are 2 bedrooms, one double room and one bunk room (full size beds) with an extra single. All beds have duvets, pillows and freshly laundered mattress and pillow protectors. The chalet has electric wall heaters and electricity is supplied via a £1 coin meter.

Small, but well equipped, having recently been re-furbished this holiday chalet offers everything you need as a retreat after a long day at the beach, or exploring the Cornish countryside.

The site is ideally situated visiting the beautiful ‘7 bay for 7 days ‘sandy beaches of North Cornwall, offering a different sandy bay for each day of the week. If you wish to explore further afield the area offers good road links into South Cornwall.

This is a traditional holiday chalet of timber construction set within the holiday part of Atlantic Bays. The chalet is conveniently situated for easy parking within this family friendly 27 acre holiday park which boasts excellent amenities comprising of restaurant, shop, launderette, clubhouse and children’s play area and communal BBQ. The site is on flat ground and easy to access all amenities.


The chalet sleeps 4-5 people in 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom has a small double bed and wardrobe, whilst the 2nd bedroom has bunk beds with a hanging rail. A camp bed and bedding is provided for an additional guest, if required.

In the lounge is a comfortable area with a with freeview TV incorporating a DVD and a selection of DVDs, books and maps for your use.



The chalet is double glazed and electric heating in all rooms. There is a modern, newly fitted family shower room, dining area and fully equipped kitchen. You will need to bring your own linen (towels, pillowcases, sheets and tea towels), everything else is provided for you.

The key will be found in the key safe outside, so you can arrive at your leisure. An additional key will be inside the chalet for you.

The historic fishing town of Padstow, home to Rick Stein's seafood restaurant and Paul Ainsworth's No 6 restaurant, is a short drive away and a strong attraction to visitors where fishing boats and pleasure crafts can be seen side by side on their moorings.
Padstow offers much to do, you may take a fishing trip for the day, or exhilarating speedboat ride along the camel estuary. It is also the start of the famous ‘camel trail’, where you can cycle or walk along the river camel to Wadebridge, or take the ferry across the river to Rock.

The village of St Merryn is approx. 1 mile away with pubs, restaurants, shops and take away facilities.

The area is surrounded by 7 beautiful and individual beaches, each with it's own merits, providing family-friendly fun on the beach, or for those a little more energetic, surfing (equipment may be hired), walking and cycling.

Cornwall is not short of entertainment whatever the weather, with activities such as The Eden project, Crealy adventure park, Cornish birds of prey, Newquay Zoo and aquarium and many more as short drive away.

For theatre lovers the open air Minack theatre, build into the Cornish cliffs is an absolute delight.

As you enter this four storey property, you will quickly appreciate the love and attention to detail that has been spent on it. The interior design is seriously impressive. Sumptuous sofas and beds are all adorned with colour complemented cushions with exquisite taste. The walls are all painted with a neutral palette to emphasise the sensational art on the walls and the pops of colour throughout this wonderful house.

The luxurious open plan living space boasts a small balcony where you can enjoy the views and sip a delicious glass of wine. You can throw open the French doors to the balcony and the cool fresh air will flood in and lift your spirits. On cooler evenings, the feature fireplace is a joy. How wonderful to relax and listen to the sounds of the busy harbour and see the glistening water dotted with boats. A gorgeous painting by artist Lesley Holmes spans the stairwell and another sensational one overlooks the dining table. The owners clearly know and love their art! The sparkling modern kitchen will delight the chef in your party. If you would like to disappear with a cup of tea and the Sunday newspapers there is a conservatory lounge at the back of the house.

The adorable children’s bedroom offers fun bunk beds, a small library of books for bedtime stories and a wonderful, fun colour scheme. It is a very cheerful room with colourful chests of draws and paintings decorating the room. Each of the other three bedrooms boast bay windows to make the most of the spectacular panoramic views. The master bedroom at the top of the house enjoys a vaulted ceiling, delightful angles, and a fabulous window seat. You will be mesmerised by the stunning estuary views. It is the perfect spot for your morning cup of coffee. Like all of the bedrooms, it is adorned exquisitely. There are two further double rooms. One boasts zip and link beds that can be set up as a king or as twins. This room features an incredible, intricate mirror that is absolutely stunning. You will enjoy the sleep of kings in these wonderful bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one is en-suite and the other a family bathroom with a bath and shower. Both are delightful.

Fowey House is dog friendly so you can bring two pets along to share your holiday. Once you have unpacked in this sensational holiday home, you are just steps from all of the delights of Fowey. 

The Fowey estuary is a glorious sight with Fowey on one side at the mouth of the River Fowey and the gorgeous town of Polruan on the other. There are regular passenger ferries to and from Polruan and a car ferry to Boddinick. The ferry house was originally the du Maurier family home and later the home of Angela du Maurier, Daphne’s sister.

As well as being incredibly pretty, Fowey has a deep history. During the Second World War, Fowey was the centre for air-sea rescue and one of the places from which the D-Day invasions were launched. St Catherine’s Point is on the Fowey side of the harbour entrance where it functioned as a lighthouse in medieval times. St Catherine’s Castle below was built during the reign of Henry VIII to defend the harbour entrance. It is accessible when walking from the pretty Readymoney Cove. On Fore Street you will find the Old House of Foye, a medieval house built in 1430. It is now a shop but the walls, beamed interior and fireplace are pretty much the same. During the summer, Fowey Town Hall’s museum and small aquarium is open. Daphne du Maurier is celebrated with the Du Maurier Festival each May and at the Literacy Centre next to the church.

There are some amazing sandy beaches close by. Par Sands, close to the village of Par, 4 miles from St Austell, boasts a huge expanse of sand backed by pretty dunes. Polkerris Beach magically combines an idyllic sandy cove and stunning coastline with an array of entertaining watersports. You can stand up paddleboard, learn to sail and windsurf, explore the coastline in a kayak or simply enjoy exploring the rock pools and building sandcastles. There is a wonderful beach restaurant and waterside pub. The National Trust’s dreamy Lantic Bay is a great spot for paddling and for a picnic. It is well worth the climb back up. The views from the top are extraordinary.

You can take a ferry to the buzzy town of Mevagissey which is within a UNESCO Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is another working harbour, nestled on the unspoilt dramatic Cornish coastline. Mevagissey boasts an aquarium, museum, seafood restaurants, atmospheric pubs, watersports, beautiful gardens, cycle trails and much more. You can walk from the town to the stunning Lost Gardens of Heligan.

Restormel Castle lies by the River Fowey near Lostwithiel. One of the four chief Norman castles of Cornwall, it is notable for its perfectly circular design. Once a luxurious residence of the Earl of Cornwall, it was ruined by the 16th century and is now under the supervision of the English Heritage. It is another beautiful picnic spot.

The villages you may want to visit in the Fowey area are Polruan, Bodinnick and Lanteglos to the east, Goland, Lostwithiel, Lerryn and St Winnow higher up and Twardreath, Par, Polkerris and Menabilly to the west.

In our field are two 5m belltents. Each tent is pitched on a wooden flat base and has a double bed and the option for two single mattresses on the floor. There is room to store your clothes. Each tent has electric supply and USB points and a separate bathroom. There is a small communal kitchen perfect for making light meals. Each tent has its own bbq, fold up chairs too for outside or inside use, and a picnic bench, and parasol.

We are perfectly situated in a quiet part of the countryside. The local village is less than a mile away. Offering a pub, two shops, bakery, fish and chips.

On our doorstep are many footpaths and old mine trails. We are centrally located in the county and perfect for day trips. St Agnes, Perranporth are 15 minutes away. You can reach Newquay and the maritime town of Falmouth in less than 30 minutes. St Ives and Padstow are an hour away.

Dogs are welcome too. We have to restrict this to one dog per tent,

Gamekeeper’s Cottage is a very attractive property that you will settle into very quickly. Guests stay in luxurious comfort with the master bedroom enjoying a beautifully dressed, comfy double bed and the second bedroom offering twins. There is room in the master for a cot too if you are traveling with a bundle of joy or a folding bed for an older child. It offers a family bathroom with a small bath and overhead shower. The cottage enjoys a warm, inviting ambience with a home-from-home feel. The kitchen is brilliantly well fitted with vivid colour splashes, shaker style units, wooden worktops and excellent appliances which are perfect for preparing a holiday feast. There is a Nespresso coffee machine for your morning cup of coffee too which you can enjoy in the rear garden overlooking lush greenery. The living room enjoys gorgeous beams, a leather sofa, a rocking chair, accent chair and a colourful rug. You can spend a quiet night in watching a movie on the Smart television, listening to your favourite tunes on the Bluetooth speaker or playing family games such as chess, jigsaws, board games and playing cards which are provided for your entertainment. The feature fireplace adds a crackling atmosphere. At the far end of the room is your dining table and chairs where you can dine with a fresh breeze coming through by opening the large French doors.

The Tremaine Manor & Country Cottages Estate is absolutely wonderful, a rural paradise sprinkled with lush lawns, woodland trails and a stream where you will hear the owls hoot and the wind whispering through the boughs of the ancient oaks. Looe is a centre of offshore shark fishing as well as boasting a gorgeous sandy beach, crabbing on the quayside, quaint cobbled streets, independent local shops and an abundance of restaurants and pubs serving handmade Cornish pasties and gourmet seafood. Looe is very popular and many visitors return year after year. The South West Coastal Path, Britain’s longest National Trail, passes through the village and Bodmin Moor is on the doorstep with its granite tors, plentiful streams, waterfalls, moorland ponies, pretty heather and wild beauty. The pretty town of Fowey and the atmospheric village of Polperro which dates back to the thirteenth century are within very easy reach of Gamekeeper’s Cottage.

Gamekeeper’s Cottage is located on the fabulous three and a half acre Tremaine Manor Estate. It is a quiet, countryside property, within easy reach of the south coast beaches, the fantastic South West Coast Path and the beautiful moors. It is just ten minutes to Looe. Whilst retaining a working fishing port, Looe boasts wonderful eateries, Cornish pasty shops, a beautiful beach and some excellent, unique shops. Visitors enjoy watching crabbers on the quayside and the colourful fishing boats returning with their catches. Looe boasts many local gourmet restaurants overlooking the harbour as well as award winning fish and chips near the river. There is a pretty bridge that separates East and West Looe. The Looe Marine Conservation Group host regular rockpool rambles for children of all ages. Their website gives details of the wildlife events and local family friendly adventures such as crabbing, snorkeling, bird watching, fishing and visits to Looe Island. Looe Island was once a holy pilgrimage site. Now it is a sanctuary for wildlife and rare plants. In 2004 Looe Island was left to the Cornwall Wildlife Trust by Babs Atkins who had bought the island with her sister in the 1960’s. You will discover a grey seal population sunbathing on the rocks and swimming around the island. The island is home to many nesting birds such as cormorants, shags and oystercatchers. It boasts the largest breeding colony in Cornwall of the majestic great black-backed gull. During the summer months there are frequent boat trips and guided walks. The Old Sardine Factory Heritage Centre tells the story of Looe’s maritime history. You will learn how Looe exported pilchards to Italy, sent pilgrims to Galicia and sailed across the Atlantic to catch cod off of Newfoundland. You will also learn about boat building and experience a lifeboat Shout! with state-of-the-art technology. The centre is also a climbing wall and kayaking centre. If you fancy a scenic day out but don’t want to drive, you can take the Looe Valley train line to the historic market town of Liskeard. There are stunning views though heavily wooded valleys teeming with wildlife, glorious estuary views and rivers full of wading birds such as little egrets, grey herons, oystercatchers and curlews. Looe’s Music Festival is fast becoming a very popular outdoor event attracting many famous artists such as Jools Holland, Bryan Ferry, Lulu, the Stranglers and many more.

The stunning South West Coast Path passed through Looe. Starting in Minehead in Somerset, it covers 630 miles ending in Poole in Dorset. It offers extraordinary sea views and is very popular. There are also countless walks in the beautiful countryside surrounding Looe. You may want to walk around Fowey where you can enjoy seeing Menabilly, once the home of Daphne du Maurier and the inspiration for Manderley in her novel Rebecca. Fowey is a popular sailing destination and a quaint deep-water fishing port. There is a ferry service to the pretty village of Polruan opposite. Walking from Polruan towards Polperro you will pass the beautiful Lantic Bay and the horseshoe shaped West Coombe at Lansallos. Polperro is a gorgeous, quintessential Cornish fishing village with steep narrow streets, pretty slate cottages and stunning views. Sheltered from the ravages of tide and time in its dramatic cliff ravine, Polperro is an enchanting jumble of cottages, all the work of Cornish fishermen. The 36 mile walk from Looe to Boscastle is wonderful, crossing Bodmin Moor via Davidstow, Rough Tor and Brown Willy and passing through the verdant West Looe Valley. Hoodny Cove and Finnygook Beach are accessible from Portwrinkle Beach, both sandy and popular with families. Finnygook is a surfers favourite. Other popular beaches are Polperro, Whitsand Bay and Downderry Beach.

Bodmin Moor is one of Cornwall’s designated Areas of Outstanding Beauty. With its giant stretches of heather, this upland granite moorland is delightful. It is brimming with high granite tors, streams and waterfalls and you will probably get to see the moorland ponies grazing.
