This attractive 19th-century Victorian gate lodge with magnificent arched latticed windows is situated at the entrance of Crathes Castle. This lovely single storey lodge has its own garden with a picnic table and bench. However, you can also enjoy the stunnig beauty of the famous gardens featuring great yew hedges and a colourful double herbaceous border as they are very close to the lodge. Like this holiday accommodation, Crathes Castle and Garden is a property of the National Trust for Scotland. Crathes Castle with its lovely features like its gargoyles and fairytale- like turrets is worth a visit at any time of the year.
The Highland Heather Lodges have been designed for the 21st century with every convenience in mind and have bright, very comfortable and stylish interiors. The one and two bedroom lodges have open plan living/dining room/kitchens, utility room, wet rooms. All lodges have full kitchens with dishwashers and microwaves and gas central heating. Auto washer/dryer, colour TV, video/DVD sound system are also supplied.
The one bedroom lodges have a gallery bedroom with magnificent views. Both the two and one bedroom lodges have decks in picturesque shared grounds with furniture and gas barbeques, and their own private outdoor hot tub.
An outdoor timber cabin contains an infra red sauna which offers remarkable healing benefits.
