Set up on a small hill at the mid level of the farm, Y Caban or "the Cabin" in English is accessed by a short grassy ramp and a couple of steps up to the terrace area. Its situation ensures that you will enjoy stunning views across the valley and toward the sea.

Sleeping 2 adults in a small double bedroom and up to 2 children in a small twin bedroom Y Caban may be small on size but its big on comfort. Enjoy watching gazing at the miles of views from the terrace, watching the smart tv in the living room, relaxing in front of the flame effect fire or cooking up a feast in the galley kitchen.

Four legged family members will enjoy Y Caban's fenced garden (please note that the garden gate is hip height) and our large dedicated dog play field just down the driveway.

Geufron Farm is a walkers paradise and right next to Y Caban is a quiet public footpath which will take you to Y Bryn just a few minutes away, where you can enjoy a refreshing drink and a home cooked meal. They also offer takeaway pizzas on selected nights of the week.

Or if you prefer not to cook the local pub is just a 15 minute walk away across the fields and Y bryn restaurant and bar is just 5 minutes walk in the other direction.

Welcome to our newly renovated, luxury log cabin nestled in the heart of the awe-inspiring Rhinog Mountains. Our cabin is situated on the edge of the world-class mountain-biking facility at Coed y Brenin and is a short drive to some of the most amazing walks and scenery that the UK has to offer.

Our cozy cabin can sleep up to 6 people between our double bedroom, bunk-bed room and double sofa bed, with freshly cleaned bed linens supplied for all our visitors. Our open-plan living area boasts ample cooking and dining space. Our kitchen has all the amenities that you’d expect such as fridge, small freezer, hob, oven, microwave, toaster and kettle. Our bathroom features a large shower cubicle, perfect for getting clean after climbing Snowden or surfing at Barmouth (both only 30 mins away - please bring your own towels).

Trawsfynydd Holiday Village is a tranquil site featuring a well-equipped children’s play area and both a launderette and shop on-site. We are surrounded by attractions and activities suitable for all, from families to adrenaline-junkies. Aberdovey, which is in the Snowdonia National Park, is a village of great character and charm, located at the mouth of the River Dovey. It is unspoilt and the small amount of development that has taken place in recent years has been carried out at the rear of the village thus not disturbing the sea front and shopping area.

The estuary offers excellent facilities for sailing and water-skiing, there being a public slipway. There is a superb sandy beach with sand dunes which is ideal for children, behind which there is a well-known golf course. It is possible to hire sailing boats, canoes, SUPs and to go on fishing trips. Windsurfing is now a very popular sport in the estuary and boards can also be hired. Kite surfing is also popular and local tuition is available. There are two public tennis courts, a pitch and putt and a bowling green.

The surrounding area provides plenty of entertainment for children on bad days. At Tywyn, just five miles away, there is an indoor swimming pool, squash courts, playground, cinema and the well-known Tal-y-llyn narrow gauge steam railway. The countryside around Aberdovey is reputed for some of its beautiful walks, Happy Valley being just to the rear of the chalet site. the famous Cadir Idris mountain is 40 minutes drive away.

The chalet is on a small exclusive site immediately at the rear of Aberdovey being some two-thirds of a mile from the village centre. It is on high ground and each chalet enjoys unrivalled views over the Dovey Estuary and South Wales. On a clear day you can see both the Northern and Southern tips of Cardigan Bay. The site is surrounded by fields and open countryside and could not be more safe for children.

It is a Norwegian pine bungalow, being finished to an extremely high standard with double-skin walls, floor and roof and double-glazing. Thus it is warm and cosy on a wet and windy day and cool on a hot day. The accommodation is as follows:-

Living/Dining room - this is a particularly attractive feature of the chalet as it is south-facing with picture windows all round and it enjoys fabulous views. Leading off is a large balcony which can be used for eating out. One corner of the room is used as a dining area with a large pine refectory table that will easily seat eight people. At night, the seats pull out and converts into a 4’6” double bed. The whole room is tastefully furnished in pine and bright colours. There is a colour television and a digital satellite dish in place, but tenants need to bring their own black box and viewing card.

Kitchen area - another corner of the living room is separated off to form a compact but practical kitchen incorporating a fridge, dishwasher, small microwave oven, electric cooker and masses of cupboards. It is fully equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, glass and cutlery for eight people.

Bedroom No. 1 - double bed with duvet, fitted cupboards. (Double blankets are available if required; they are stored under the dining-area sofa unit)

Bedroom No. 2 - double bed with good headroom plus full-length single bunk bed above also with good headroom, duvets, chest of drawers and hanging space. There is a cot provided (that would need assembling), along with an Ikea infants high chair.

Bedroom No. 3 - full-length bunk beds with good headroom, duvets, fitted cupboards.

Bathroom - Shower, wash basin and WC.

Cupboard containing mains switches, hoover floor cleaner, etc..

Bed Linen, bath towels and hand towels are provided. Please bring your own beach towels. Please also bring with you a small amount of dishwasher tablets if you wish to use the machine.

OCCUPATION: 3 p.m. on day of arrival; departure by 11am at end of stay.

Being located in the lower part of the holiday village below the reception it is only a short walk from the children’s play area and has parking for up to 3 cars. It is 2 miles from Coed y Brenin cycling centre and it has lockable bike storage. Ideally suited if you work from home you can take a break and still work via the free wifi.

The cabin features an open plan setting within the lounge, dining room and kitchen, the bedrooms and bathroom are situated off of a small corridor to the rear of the cabin.

The lounge-diner has patio doors leading out onto the decking and is made up of two 2x 2 seater sofas and a single seater, a TV with basic Freeview channels,DVD player, free WiFi, and a dining table with 4 chairs.

The modern kitchen features all standard kitchen appliances including a fitted oven and hob, a fridge with ice box and microwave. A tea towel is provided but you must bring hand and bath towels Food, hair dryer etc. Bedding supplied

The bedrooms are larger than the standard cabins and are located off the corridor to the rear of the cabin. The bathroom is a little larger than the standard cabins and has a bath with shower over it. The electric central heating is available from October to End of May. There are also additional heaters available throughout the year and all electricity costs are included.

It has a large decked area to the front of the cabin and parking is directly beside the cabin for 3 cars (2 on one side and 1 on the other).
