The lodge leads down onto the chesterfield canal great for walking, cycling, canoeing and fishing.
Local amenities are great misterton offers 3 takeaways and 2 dog friendly pubs serving great food.
A short drive away is the historic market town bawtry this boasts great bars/ restaurants and lovely local shops.
The town Gainsborough is 10 minutes drive from the lodges here you will find old Gainsborough hall which was built between 1460 -1480. There is also a small market town.
The train runs from Gainsborough to Lincoln here you will find a bustling city with lots of art, culture, great places to eat and most famously Lincoln cathedral this city makes a great day out.

Hemswell Antique Centres and Lakeside Village Outlet Shopping are worth checking out if shopping is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Idle Valley Nature Reserve and Langold Park. Hayton Castle Clay Shoot and Yorkshire Wildlife Park are also worth visiting.
