Many of our guests keep coming back because of the high quality accommodation, the excellent service, and the great Kent location. We gained official recognition for the quality of our accommodation with a 3*English Tourist Board Gold Award in 2014.

Eversleigh Woodland Lodges are a group of six pine lodges and two brick luxury cottages, which were renovated and upgraded to offer a higher standard of self catering holiday accommodation in 2015. We have a heated indoor swimming pool available for all our lodge and cottage guests from April-October each year. We also have an indoor games room for adults and kids with Pool table and tennis table.

The location is superb, with the lodges and cottages sharing a woodland clearing near the quiet Kent village of Shadoxhurst, near Ashford. We provide an ideal base for touring and visiting the many attractions within easy travelling distance or for just relaxing and enjoying the peace and tranquillity of the Kent countryside.

The lodges are located in a tranquil woodland setting on the outskirts of the village of Shadoxhurst. Ideally situated for touring Kent, visiting London or going to or from Europe.

All lodges have free Wi-Fi, ensuring that even in restful seclusion you can remain in contact with the outside world should you wish to do so.

For those that do not wish to do much cooking, there are plenty of pubs and restaurants in the area catering for all tastes and budgets.

The rear of the site opens onto a small by-way with walks through local woodlands. For those with limited mobility, the whole site at Eversleigh is flat and a ramp to lodges can be provided on request. Some mobility will be required to get from the car park to the lodges and to use facilities such as the WC and shower.

All lodges are non-smoking, pets considered by prior agreement only.

Our lodges can be rented individually or can be rented in multiples together for groups.

This chalet is located in Ashford. Godinton House and Gardens and Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Light Railway are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Hamstreet Woods National Nature Reserve and Poulton Wood Nature Reserve. Kentish Farm Cottage is nestled deep in the Kent countryside, in the tranquil village of Stone in Oxney, near Tenterden. There are wonderful walks right from the doorstep in this superb Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You can stroll to the village pub for its friendly ambience and charm.  

Tenterden is a picturesque town with a broad, tree-lined High Street sprinkled with independent shops, antiques centres, cafes, and restaurants. The town’s name is derived from the Old English ‘Tenet Waraden’ which meant a clearing in the forest, belonging to the men of Thanet. The town was an important wool trading centre in the 13th century and at that time had access to the sea at Smallhythe. You can visit the local museum to learn about the history of the town. Georgian buildings share the town’s streets with tall Victorian houses and tiny cottages, lots decorated with painted weatherboard. The Kent & East Sussex steam railway runs for ten and a half miles from Tenterden to Bodiam, welcoming around ninety thousand visitors a year. Tenterden Golf Club welcomes visitors as well as its members.

Between Tenterden and Church Hill Barn, Chapel Down is England’s leading wine producer with an award-winning range of sparkling and still wines. You can visit for tours and experiences, tasting these delicious wines and learning about the vineyard. Chapel Down is one of the UK government’s Top 50 Food and Drink Producers and were the first English winery to feature on the London Stock Exchange’s 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain. They support many great English institutions such as England Cricket, The Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race, The London Symphony Orchestra, Ascot Racecourse, The Royal Opera House, The Donmar Warehouse and The Turner Contemporary.

Not far away, Rye is a Medieval citadel huddled against invaders and the sea, is today home to a myriad of art, curiosities and cosy pubs and restaurants. They serve the best that Sussex has to offer. Built on timeless tales and smuggled secrets, Rye offers charm and intrigue with nooks and crannies to explore and distant views across Romney Marsh to enjoy. St Mary’s Church tower is open to the public and offers the best viewpoint to show the warm terracotta roofs of the many timbered houses. These ancient, characterful buildings, cobbled streets and secret passages attract film crews in search of historical settings for period productions. The Rye Castle Museum was originally a bottling factory and now boasts a unique 18th century fire engine as well as relics from the town’s shipbuilding past. The Rye Harbour Nature Reserve has a wonderful network of criss crossing footpaths on the saltmarsh and shingle ridges with fabulous views across to Camber Sands and the cliffs of Hastings Country Park. It is a twitcher’s paradise with five hides where you can watch the wildlife. You can take boat trips or lessons in windsurfing, dinghy sailing or paddleboarding from Rye Watersports.

Also within easy distance, Hastings enjoys a fascinating history. It was attacked by the French during the Hundred Years War and in 1377, a second attack all but destroyed the town. The Old Town’s architecture ranges from Medieval to Victorian with one of the oldest buildings, the Court House, being built around 1450. The town boasts many passages and narrow streets known as the twittens, many cafes, bars and restaurants and some excellent shops and art galleries. The Castle, originally built by William the Conqueror, lies in ruins at the top of West Hill and can be visited using the steepest funicular railway in Britain. The Hastings Museum and Art Gallery boasts an exhibition dedicated to American Indians, Grey Owl, an early conservationist who came from Hastings and John Logie Baird who pioneered television in Hastings. There are many architectural and cultural attractions including a theatre, parks, and gardens. Hastings hosts man events including the Hastings Half Marathon, the Jack in the Green Festival, Hastings Beer Festival, Coastal Currents, and the Old Town Carnival.

Camber Sands is a fabulous beach in the village of Camber. It is the only sand dune system in East Sussex, east of the estuary of the River Rother at Rye Bay, and stretches three glorious miles to just beyond the Kent border.

As you enter the light filled timber lodge which is located on the owners' grounds, leave your coats and boots in the entrance hall and continue through to the main living area. This spacious and bright area features an open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area and French doors opening onto a decked area. In the kitchen, you will find an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, and fridge/freezer. Whip up a delicious family meal before sitting down to dine at the dining table with seating for all overlooking the fields outside before retreating to the cosy lounge area for the rest of the evening. Here there is a large comfortable corner sofa perfect for unwinding in front of the Smart TV/ DVD player. Heading back into the hallway you will find 3 bedrooms (all with Hypnos beds) a king size with an en suite shower room with shower and WC, a super king size zip and link that can be made into a twin upon request, and a further twin bedroom all of which have Smart TVs. Two of the bedrooms share a bathroom which has a shower over the bath and WC, and the property is completed with a handy utility room with a washing machine. We are pleased to offer isolated self-catering accommodation in a newly erected log cabin with a hot tub, built in the grounds of our 16th century home, with views of The North Downs here in Thurnham, Kent.

The Cabin (23ft by 10ft) has been decorated and fitted out with a contemporary look and offers full heating throughout. The bedroom has a comfortable double bed, with an en-suite shower room. We provide toiletries, hairdryer, and a couple of towelling robes with matching slippers.

Enjoy even the chilliest of days at the cabin!  Relax and soak in the scenery and local wildlife in the luxury of your own private hot tub.

After a day spent enjoying the outdoors, you might want to relax in front of the television or just enjoy the flicker of the flames created by our instant-heat electric fire. If you want to prepare your own meals, there’s an oven, microwave and hobs. We’ll even arrange for a food delivery if that’s what you want and store it in the refrigerator ready for your arrival.

Weather permitting, you will be able to sit out on your own private veranda that overlooks the North Downs and dine alfresco. You’ll find a barbecue in the shed we have provided, which can also house any bikes you might decide to bring. Fortunately, The Cabin is completely fenced, with its own entrance and land, so if you do bring a four-legged friend, you can all relax.

We can advise you on local walks and cycle routes, even those including our wonderful local pubs! This area is steeped in history so you might perhaps choose to visit nearby Leeds Castle and find out why Henry VIII stayed there. The shops are a short drive away.
