The Ruby
The Ruby, Holsworthy, Devon
The Ruby is a small collection of beautifully appointed new lodges hidden away in the rolling countryside of North Devon, just 10 miles from the market town of Holsworthy. Sit on your spacious decking area and all you can here is birdsong and the occasional ?moo? or ?baa? from the surrounding fields.
The site was formerly owned by Ernest Hemmingway and was home to the UK's first naturist retreat in the 1930's.
Each lodge has been built to a ?lodge plus? standard with triple aspect open plan living areas, double glazing and central heating throughout, the kind of kitchen and bathrooms typically found in high-end apartments, and double patio doors leading out onto the decked patios. Luxury has never been this close to nature!
Despite this idyllic setting, The Ruby is within a short drive of many market towns, family attractions, historic sites and not forgetting the stunning beaches along the north coast of Devon and into Cornwall. With Dartington Crystal, RHS Rosemoor, The Big Sheep and The Milky Way adventure parks all in the area, there is something for everyone. Bude and the coastline is within a 20 mile drive.
The local village shop is only 2 miles away, as is a fish and chip shop, while larger supermarkets can be found in Tavistock Launceston and Holsworthy, all within a 10 mile drive. Each lodge has a comprehensive information pack to assist you in enjoying a fantastic holiday.
The Ruby is ideally placed for guests to enjoy the available activities and pursuits of the surrounding area including fishing, golf and cycling.
